21 years, at the time of application for ATPL
Completion of 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics from a recognised board or NIOS
Should have a Class 1 Medical Certificate
Must have excellent proficiency in English while speaking, reading or writing
Total 1,500 hours of flight experience, including 500 hours as PIC, and 500 hours in cross-country flying
Must have a valid CPL with an Instrument Rating

The viva voce process or oral exam is taken only for the Navigation and Radio Aids subjects. After passing the written examination, you have to appear for the viva voce. You get three attempts at the oral exam. If you fail after the third attempt, you will have to appear for the written exam again.
